The 4th International Research and Development Conference (IRDeC 2026) is the flagship interdisciplinary academic and policy assembly hosted by Kampala International University (KIU) in Kampala, Uganda. Scheduled from October 12 to October 16, 2026. Designed as a premier platform for evidence-based development scholarship, IRDeC 2026 convenes global researchers, technology founders, industrial actors, and public policymakers to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) and digital innovations are reshaping modern labor force dynamics, economic productivity, and sustainable industrial growth across developing and emerging economies.

As emerging automation tools, machine learning models, and big data systems accelerate across global supply chains, IRDeC 2026 examines both the opportunities and disruption caused by these technologies. The conference provides a collaborative space to bridge academic research with actionable industrial applications, ensuring digital transformation leads to inclusive economic growth, job creation, and responsible technological governance.
